Conscience is the guidance of The True God, via our internal sense of morals, and by direct prompting- towards the truth, love, hope, and faith. Christians have ” the law written on their hearts and minds” in the ink of truth. We “have only one teacher- [our] father in heaven” This teacher teaches through every true and good teacher, but also via the conscience of the righteous. Catholics are noted for having the same faith, no matter their personal difference. Weak catholics, often seem almost to mirror the theology of non-catholics. Strong Catholics are so unique. As the Anglican C.S. Lewis said- the saints are all so different. Eventually every tyrant looks the same.
Catholics, when it comes to doctrine, do not determine from their own judgment what is best, but listen to that voice within, that voice, that- the less you sin- the more it sounds like the voice you hear every Sunday in church and vice versa.
Conscience, is spoken of often - “he will teach you all things and bring all things to your mind, whatsoever I shall have said to you. ” Obviously, there is the truth of the church above the private judgment, and there is only private revelation left, since the last apostle died, yet I believe, that we are all taught directly by God, by conscience. If God promised his apostles all truth, and they have given us the truth, then why should we each have our own interpretation. Yes, we see different parts, as we flow down, into greater realization, and as our eyes are each open, yet the land we are shown, if we are true, and catholic- is the same road. Our conscience knows that if we obey good, Natural Law, New Law, and God, we will hear this whisper, as though it were a shout. Imagine the truth awaiting us. We experience it already every Sunday at the mass. We feel it already. Those things, we see in the distance. The truth, we feel, every time we take his body, or hear his truth.
